Eventful Memorial Day Weekend

Last year we were making our 2nd trip to Miami for Memorial Weekend. Look how little Nico was!!! This year, Memorial was quite eventful as well but in a more LOCAL sense...since we didn't go home this year.

Friday: We kicked it off with a Sushi Happy Hour Dinner with Alyssa, Lorena, and Alberto. We were celebrating Alyssa's first week at her NEW JOB and My LAST day at Berlitz. I decided to take a Hiatus from teaching for "personal and financial reasons" as I so eloquently put it in my email to the director. Basically, Berlitz doesn't pay me enough to be able to pay the nanny...simply put.

But Going back to Memorial Weekend activities...
Saturday I ran 12 miles in preparation for the SAN DIEGO HALF this SUNDAY! The rest of the day we laid low because we knew that SUNDAY would be hectic.

Sunday morning we went to the Farmer's Market and Nico got to hang out in the PETTING ZOO!!! I loved it. I think he did too, lol.
LA Dodgers Game:
After that we headed to downtown to meet up with some friends to go to the DODGERS vs MARLINS game! We took Public transportation to the game!!! SO ADVENTUROUS!
This was Nico's second time at a baseball game, FIRST at a MAJOR LEAGUE GAME!!

Monday: I did a run with Nico that ended in the Promenade where we met up with Peter for CREPES!!!!

In the afternoon we biked with Charlie to the beach to meet up Chris Caraballo and some of his friends. Alyssa, Alberto, and Lorena joined us at the beach later.

I love our home and all the things there are to do around here!!
