Happy World Read Aloud Day!!!

Happy World Read Aloud Day!!!
Nico and I got up early this morning(6:30am) to hear Lee Harper Read "The  Emperor's Cool Clothes". Nico clapped and said YAYYYYY when the author said...THE END.

Kids from a North Carolina 2nd grade classroom, New Jersey, and Minnesota were all listening too!! Oh technology!! What a great morning!

Celebrate world literacy by sitting with your family, a friend, or your pets and READ ALOUD! LitWorld is the oraganization that put together this event:
Here is a description from their website:
Take Action for Global Literacy, Celebrate the Power of Words, Change the World
Worldwide at least 793 million people remain illiterate.
check out: Beautiful Books for Children
Imagine a world where everyone can read...
World Read Aloud Day is about taking action to show the world that the right to read and write belongs to all people. World Read Aloud Day motivates children, teens, and adults worldwide to celebrate the power of words, especially those words that are shared from one person to another, and creates a community of readers advocating for every child’s right to a safe education and access to books and technology.
By raising our voices together on this day we show the world’s children that we support their future: that they have the right to read, to write, and to share their words to change the world.
It’s time to join the Global Literacy Movement.
