SUNDAY FUNDAY...at WILL ROGERS PARK

Will Rodgers Park

Today's adventure led us to re-visit Will Rodgers Park with Alyssa, Alberto, and Lorena! Nico and Lena had a great time HIKING!! 

 We saw LOTS OF HORSES which made this mama very happy!!!

After running 16 miles yesterday...I guess a 2 1/2 hour hike was a nice "flush"...lol especially with a 33 pound wiggle worm. Luckily, Nico is starting to HIKE a little more...and LIKING IT... especially since he has a friend to walk with!

As working mommas, Alyssa and I don't really have time to catch up much these days. It was great to have time to talk...and walk together, while enjoying some fresh air with the buggerheads...=)

 

Lunch at "inspiration point"

 We are always on the go...these days, we are trying to stop along the way, look around...and find happiness in the things we have...each other, awesome friends, beautiful places ALL AROUND and so much more!

Tonight when Nico says his prayers...and says: 

"Baby Jesus, Gracias por todo"(Baby Jesus, Thank you for everything)...I hope he remembers todays hike =).

SUNDAY FUNDAY...again

I decided I was going to re-implement Sunday Funday!

The other day, Nico and I went hiking with our neighbors. We had a blast. I had been to Griffith Park before but had never hiked to the VERY TOP...what spectacular views!

The saying is very true...There's less traffic if you go the extra Mile...

I must say...Nico isn't as lite as he once was. Carrying him, diapers, wipes, lunch and WATER....was no easy feat----especially after running 18 miles the day before, but it was a fun workout, especially seeing him HIKE...like a big boy!!!!!

We had a great time with Zander and Maddie =)

Mother's Day Weekend

Mother's day weekend was awesome!

Saturday morning I had a really great opportunity. I attended a career fair for a potential job, and had a informal FIRST INTERVIEW from which I received great FEEDBACK! Hopefully I'll hear back from them soon for my next Interview!!

After that we went to the Venice Fire Station for some FREE PANCAKES! Lorena, Alberto, and ALyssa were there too! Nico touched an 18 ft Python...Daddy didn't, hahaha!

Sunday- Mother's Day!
When I got home from the gym, Peter had made really yummy Pancakes Crepes!

I had already gotten the necklace, and I ALSO got a NEW DRESS from Peter and Nico...that I put on right away!

We went to the farmer's Market before Mass. Nico got to go on a Pony Ride; which I think I enjoyed WAY more than Nico!!!!! My cheeks were hurting from smiling.

Daddy bought mommy and nico matching blue converse shoes that we both put on for out Hike!

We went to Topanga National Park for some exploring!

We ended the day with dinner at our neighbors apt.....yummy primerib!

It was a great mother's day weekend!!!

Late February Updates: TITO's visit/outings and celeb citings

I'm happy to report that Nico is WELL, just a little snotty right now. He was sick for a couple days but ADORABLE.

We've gone biking and gone out a couple times with them! Yes, I said GONE OUT!

Sunday we went Hiking to Griffith Park with Chris and Cristy. At Night....we went out for SUSHI and SAKI BOMBS after watching the NBA All-Star Game.

Last Night we went on a SUNSET bike ride around the Marina and ended at Tony P's, where we hung out with Kenny and our guests. Tony P's is a Gator restaurant here in the Marina....and it was DELISHHHH.

Manuela was in Colombia this weekend and gets back today. From what I can see in the FACEBOOK pictures, she is having a blast. She gets back today. I can't wait to hear the stories!!!

We had some more celebrity sitings this weekend, which brings the total count to 5 in the past 2 months!

We saw (#4)Arnold, his wife, and his daughter(who I recognized from THE VIEW), at Mass on Sunday. Unfortunately I don't have pictures, because WE WERE IN MASS, I felt a little odd whipping out my camera there.

We had lunch with (#5)Al yesterday. It was nice catching up and hearing stories about life on the red carpet, spot light, and some of the "giving back" work that he's been a part (NBA Cares, Basketball without Borders, and his own Basketball camps in Atlanta and DR). He met Nico for the first time and was very impressed with Nico's motor skills =).Maybe he'll be at one of those basketball camps in a couple years!

Tonight, we are going to the LAKERS vs HAWKS game!!! It will be our first LAKERS game, though I had to tell Al that we were really excited to watch the Hawks play...hahaha.
