FIRST ADVENTURE OF THE NEW YEAR- Big Bear

Happy New YEAR!!!!

This morning we got on the road NICE AND EARLY(6:20am). It was super foggy and still dark out!

By 7:45am we were at the Foothill of the Big Bear Mountain climb (1000 ft elevation which quickly became 7000ft!).

We first stopped at Big Bear Lake...which was slightly frozen!!! Very Cool....shall I say COLD!

At 8:15am we were sitting nice and cozy at Blanca and Pierre's Restaurant...Breakfast Burrito to start the NEW YEAR OFF--YUMMM!

 

 We had a great time today with LA NIEVE...SNOW SNOWMAN! Nico and I had a great time "sliding around" while Papa napped...since he wasn't feeling to HOT...it was probably the altitude. We made lots of mental notes for our NEXT TRIP- we will be ready for tubing, sledding, and skiing!!!!

New Years Eve EAST COAST PARTY on the WEST COAST

One of Nico's friends...Aaron just moved to a HOUSE a couple weeks ago with his parents! They waited til New Years to throw a House-Warming Party!!

SOOOOooo we all celebrated the EAST COAST NEW YEARS (12am)...here on the WEST COAST (9pm)! It was a brilliant idea and a great way for all of us (mommas and papas with little ones) to be able to get in PARTY MODE...and have our little ones in bed by a decent time. We all got to watch TIME SQUARE on TV, cheers to the new year....and by 9:10pm, that house was EMPTY....and by 9:30pm Nico was fast asleep in his BIG BOY BED at home =).
